New York Knights prevail over Golden State Valkyries in a hard-fought battle

WNBA: New York Liberty Defeat Golden State Valkyries 82-77

The unbeaten New York Liberty outlasted a resilient Golden State Valkyries team, securing a 82-77 victory on Thursday night. After suffering a lopsided loss to the Liberty two nights prior, the Valkyries kept the contest competitive until the end but ultimately came up short on the road.

East Coast native Sabrina Ionescu led the charge for New York, notching 24 points and successfully converting six of her 15 three-point attempts in Brooklyn. Star forward Breanna Stewart added 27 points to the victorious effort, helping the Liberty maintain their undefeated record.

Despite the defeat, the Valkyries demonstrated a strong fighting spirit throughout the match. However, they were unable to pull off a comeback against a formidable Liberty squad.

The defeat marks another setback for the Valkyries, who are still searching for their first win of the season. The Liberty, on the other hand, continue to show their prowess, impressing both their home crowd and WNBA fans nationwide.
