Heythere, foodies! New York City just added 19 new Michelin-starred restaurants to its culinary scene! Two of the fresh faces, Al Coro and Saga, received an impressive two stars, symbolizing "scrumptious dishes that warrant a detour."
Al Coro, headed by Chef Melissa Rodriguez, specializes in regional Italian cuisine and innovative dishes, according to their website. Their seven-course menu costs $245 per person, while the five-course menu tolls in at $195. If à la carte is more your speed, skip the multi-course meal and build your own!
Al Coro expressed gratitude, shock, and humility on Instagram after earning their two-star distinction.
Saga, situated on the 63rd floor of an Art Deco building from 1932 in Manhattan's Financial District, offers a seasonal tasting menu for $295 per person. The Michelin Guide praises Saga's location and James Kent's kitchen, which doesn't let the surroundings shadow its creativity.
A total of 73 restaurants received Michelin stars in the 2022 New York Guide, with five previous three-star standouts maintaining their prestigious status: Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare, Eleven Madison Park, Le Bernardin, Masa, and Per Se.
With a diverse range of thirteen two-star, fifty-five one-star, and 125 Bib Gourmand restaurants, the Michelin Guide is your culinary roadmap when navigating New York City's fine dining scene. Don't forget the twenty-six seven recommended restaurants, either!
In the guide's top restaurant, Michelin includes fifteen different cuisines to tantalize your taste buds.
