XO to Showcase Enhanced EXPLR 44 at Boot Düsseldorf 2025
Finish boat builder XO will present two new flagship models, the XO EXPLR 44, at the upcoming Boot Düsseldorf 2025 boat show. The first vessel, which was tested in the summer, will feature traditional grey hull with twin 600s at the transom. The second boat will come with a champagne wrap, numerous high-end gadgets, and faster triple Mercury 400hp V10s.
XO EXPLR 44, built with aluminum construction, boasts a plumb bow, long keel, walkaround design, and a central pilothouse, with open fore and aft decks. The unique design includes raised fore and aft decks, creating private cabins at both ends of the boat while maintaining a low profile and reduced windage.
The forward cabin demonstrates a similar approach as the DFNDR 8, with a double bed in the bow's vee and easy access to a sun deck through a right-angled swing-up hatch integrated into the foredeck's sunbed. The aft cabin is accessible through a hinged seat on the port side of the pilothouse dinette. The aft cabin area offers a substantial lounge and sleeping area, with a separate head compartment and a large window that overlooks the external aft cockpit.
The pilothouse houses a transverse pantry, with twin helm seats on its leading edge, which can slide forward to facilitate access for those seated at the convertible dinette on the starboard side. The rooftop is designed for solar panels, bikes, kayaks, and standup paddleboards. The boat's impressive performance features a flat attitude, straight tracking, clean handling, superior visibility, comfortable ride, and low noise levels.
