Former Porcupine Tree Members John Wesley and Colin Edwin Form New Act, Voyage 35

John Wesley, a renowned musician who once performed live with Porcupine Tree from 2002 to 2010, has expressed his enthusiasm for performing the band's music that he deeply cares about. Now, he is joining forces with Colin Edwin, Porcupine Tree's former bassist from 1993 to 2010, to form a new act called Voyage 35.

The band's lineup includes an amazing set of musicians, but their names have not been specifically listed yet. As of now, only one live date is officially announced - at the 2Days Prog + 1 Festival in Novara, Italy next September. UK shows are being planned and booked for the autumn of 2026.

Voyage 35 intends to take Porcupine Tree's original lightshow, Fruit Salad Lights, on tour. They will perform material from Porcupine Tree's early Delerium Records and Snapper Records eras, which are seldom heard in live performances today.

Richard Allen, former Porcupine Tree manager and Delerium Records founder, played a role in the formation of Voyage 35. He met with Colin Edwin and acted as a catalyst for the band's creation. Glenn Povey, Porcupine Tree's original booking agent, was also involved in the formation of Voyage 35.

Colin Edwin expresses a desire to revisit early Porcupine Tree material with a fresh approach and new musical talent. He shares fondness for the energy, naivety, and spirit of the band's early years. This sentiment is echoed by a large amount of fan correspondence, indicating shared nostalgia for Porcupine Tree's early years.

Chris Matiland, original Porcupine Tree drummer, performs on the album The Baldock Transmissions with Colin Edwin and Jon Durant. However, the involvement of Chris Matiland in Voyage 35 is uncertain.

John Wesley is looking forward to performing Porcupine Tree's early music again with a new energy. The band's new website can be accessed here. For updates on more live dates and UK shows, stay tuned!
