Motorcycle manufacturer TVS set to introduce a new model on September 1st. Speculations point towards the possibility of the unveiling being the Ntorq 150 model.

New TVS vehicle model set for launch on September 1st, potential contender could be Ntorq 150.

The TVS Ntorq 150, set to debut on September 1, 2025, is gearing up to be one of the upcoming most exciting products in the scooter segment. This new offering from TVS Motor Company is expected to come equipped with a 150 cc liquid-cooled engine, producing around 14-16 horsepower, paired with an automatic transmission.

One of the standout features of the TVS Ntorq 150 is its 14-inch alloy wheels at both ends, a first for a TVS scooter. This feature aims to provide improved grip and stability, enhancing the overall riding experience. The scooter is also speculated to include a rear disc brake, along with a front unit, ensuring smooth and confident braking.

In terms of design, the TVS Ntorq 150 hints at a sporty scooter. A teaser clip for the scooter reveals a quad-projector LED headlight setup, adding to its sporty appeal. The scooter is also expected to feature a 5.0-inch TFT instrument cluster, similar to the Raider 125, providing a digital and connected riding experience.

Upon launch, the TVS Ntorq 150 will compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155, Aprilia SR175, and Hero Xoom 160. The Yamaha Aerox 155, derived from the YZF-R15, offers a sporty design, digital cluster, and LED lighting. The Aprilia SR 175 boasts a larger displacement at 174.7 cc but with slightly lower power output compared to the Ntorq 150, emphasizing aggressive styling and premium connected features. The Hero Xoom 160, with around 160cc, will be positioned in the premium sport scooter category but detailed specs remain limited.

The TVS Ntorq 150 stands competitive with its newly developed engine aimed for sportier performance than the current Ntorq 125. Its 14-16 hp output puts it close to the Yamaha Aerox 155’s 15 hp, making it a direct competitor in the sporty maxi-scooter segment. The Ntorq 150 is also expected to come with connected features such as a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth, navigation, alerts, and ride modes.

The festive season in India is considered the most prosperous time for automakers, resulting in a massive number of sales. With the launch of the TVS Ntorq 150, it seems that TVS Motor Company is aiming to capitalise on this trend, offering a powerful, sporty, and connected scooter at a competitive price under ₹1.50 lakh.
