New trailer released for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 5, featuring fresh weapons, battle pass, and full details
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone have unveiled their fifth season with a host of new features, weapons, maps, modes, and characters. The new season, which began on August 7 at 9 AM PST, promises to deliver an exhilarating gaming experience for fans of the franchise.
New Weapons
Two free base weapons, the AS VAL "Pinpoint" blueprint and the Ladra SMG "Maximum Doom" blueprint, have been added in the Battle Pass. In addition, players can look forward to the ABR A1 assault rifle at the launch of Season 5, and the Gravemark .357 revolver mid-season. The season also introduces a new melee weapon, boxing gloves. Operator Sims returns wielding the PML 5.56, and players in Zombies mode can get their hands on the futuristic Gorgofex energy weapon.
New Maps
Three new multiplayer maps have been added to Black Ops 6. The Runway (6v6) is set at Arzak Provincial Airport with wreckage cover on the tarmac. Exchange (6v6, 2v2) is a small-map vibrant marketplace set in Avalon featuring a deli and rooftop area. World Motor Dynasty (WMD) (6v6) is a remastered classic from the original Black Ops, depicting an Italian luxury car manufacturer, now overcast and snow-free. An in-season update is planned for the map Jackpot (6v6). Warzone features an update to the Stadium point of interest in Verdansk.
New Modes
In Black Ops 6, players can enjoy Aim High, a new Zombies mode focused solely on headshot damage, Snipers Only and Cranked Moshpit, fan-favourite playlists, which will rotate throughout the season. In-season updates to Cranked Demolition, Blueprint Gunfight, and Ransack have also been planned. Warzone will feature Limited Time modes (LTMs) including Stadium Resurgence and Deadline.
New Characters
The Season 5 Battle Pass offers new Operator skins, including the new operator Sims, with the “Stogie” skin and “Stogie BlackCell” variant for BlackCell purchasers. Other unlockable operator skins for Sims, Stone, Toro, Maya, Niran, and Carver are included.
Additional Features
The season also includes a 20v20 wingsuit multiplayer mode, updates to Zombies mode, and various weapon attachments such as the 9mm PM Skull Splitter Barrel.
This season focuses on revitalizing content with a mix of new and remastered multiplayer experiences, along with new tactical options and cosmetic items across Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Beyond Black Ops 6 and Warzone, Activision is re-releasing two legacy Call of Duty titles as standalone games, providing a nostalgic bonus for long-time fans of the franchise.
In Zombies mode, players can also look forward to a new boss, Uber Klaus, a towering undead enemy equipped with a mechanised exosuit. The casino-inspired map, Jackpot, based on Black Ops 4's popular setting, will also be available later in the season.
