Get ready, gaming enthusiasts! The highly anticipated Season 5 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is set to launch on August 7 at 9 AM PST. This comprehensive update promises a thrilling blend of new characters, weapons, maps, game modes, and features that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
New Characters and Operators
Lawrence Sims, a fan-favourite character from Black Ops Cold War, makes his return as the main battle pass operator. Additionally, a new BlackCell operator named Solace joins the fray this season.
New Weapons and Scorestreaks
Season 5 introduces two new weapons through the battle pass, although their specific names remain undisclosed. Excitingly, a new scorestreak, the Combat Bow with explosive-tipped arrows, is added mid-season for Black Ops 6.
New Multiplayer Maps
The new season boasts three fresh maps for Black Ops 6. Runway, set in Arzak Provincial Airport, features wreckage and fire at the terminal and control tower. Exchange, an Avalon marketplace area centred around a deli with a roof statue, offers a unique 6v6 and 2v2 battlefield. World Motor Dynasty (W.M.D.) is a reimagined classic map, transporting players to an Italian luxury car manufacturer facility in Avalon. Jackpot, a casino-inspired map based on Black Ops 4’s popular setting, will be available later in the season.
Warzone Map Updates
In Warzone, the Stadium point of interest (POI) in Verdansk receives an update with playable interior space. A new limited-time Stadium event mode lets players battle to blow the rooftop off the Stadium in each match.
New Game Modes
Season 5 introduces several new game modes. Aim High is a headshot-focused mode that emphasizes precision. Snipers Only makes a return, as does the fast-paced Cranked Moshpit. Mid-season, players can enjoy Cranked Demolition (LTM) and Blueprint Gunfight. Ransack also receives in-season updates.
New Game Modes in Warzone
Warzone joins the action with Limited Time Modes (LTMs) such as Stadium Resurgence and Deadline.
Zombies Content
The final Zombies map of the season, Reckoning, appears at Janus Towers. New weapons and gear are also available for Zombies mode this season. A new boss, Uber Klaus, a towering undead enemy equipped with a mechanised exosuit, will also be introduced.
Additional Features
A new melee weapon, boxing gloves, is introduced for close-range combat. Beyond Black Ops 6 and Warzone, two legacy Call of Duty titles will be re-released as standalone games.
