In the vibrant musical landscape of Leeds, UK, synthpop duo Lucky Iris is making waves with their latest single, "i just want to dance". The duo, comprised of Maeve Florsheim (vocals and lyrics) and Jasper Exley (music and production), first came together during lockdown and made their live debut in 2021.

Lucky Iris's discography, up to 2025, includes a series of EPs and singles that have captured the hearts of many. Their EPs, such as "Turns Out We Should Have Stayed At Home" (2020), "maybe i’m too much" (2023), "something to believe in" (2024), "day to night" (2025), and "Neon Crush" (2025), showcase their unique blend of electropop sounds. Among their singles, "(i’m not good at writing) love songs" (2022), "give me something to believe in" (2024), "universal" (2024), and "i guess i like you (a lot)" (2024) have also gained popularity.

Their latest offering, "i just want to dance", was released in July 2025, and is the first track from their upcoming mixtape. The single was mixed by Richard Wilkinson, a renowned mixer who has worked with artists like Adele and Kaiser Chiefs.

The single was released via Launchpad+ in partnership with EMI North, a move that signifies Lucky Iris's growing presence in the music industry.
