"New Short Series of 'Bluey' to Premier Without Fresh Episodes"
Get ready, Bluey fans! The much-anticipated new short-form series of everyone's favourite Australian animated show are on their way. Bluey Tunes, Bluey Puppets, Bluey Cookalongs, and Bluey Fancy Restaurant are set to grace our screens starting July 24, 2025, with staggered releases on YouTube.
Bluey Tunes, a 10-episode stop-motion animated series of music video shorts, kicks off the lineup on August 5. Following closely is Bluey Puppets, a craft-along concept featuring instructional videos on making your favourite Bluey characters, available from July 24.
In September, Bluey Cookalongs will take centre stage, where families get creative in the kitchen, cooking up homemade meals with items found around the house. The grand finale, Bluey Fancy Restaurant, will be available from October, featuring families recreating Bluey and Bingo's fancy restaurant scenes.
These new series will be available on Disney Jr., Disney Channel, Disney Jr. On Demand, and Disney+ in the U.S., as well as Disney+ globally. For our Australian viewers, ABC iview will also host these shows. Additionally, the official Bluey YouTube channel will air these series, with upcoming availability on Disney Jr. YouTube.
The new series are not minisodes or a new season but offer thematic, family-friendly filler, focusing on core themes from the main Bluey series adapted into new formats such as dancing (Bluey Tunes), puppetry (Bluey Puppets), cooking (Bluey Cookalongs), and crafting/restaurant play (Bluey Fancy Restaurant).
Celebrity read-alongs of Bluey storybooks are also available, with Helena Bonham Carter, Rose Byrne, and Elijah Wood as narrators.
