The four-part series Take the Money and Run will premiere on ZDFneo on Sunday, January 11, 2023, at 8:15 PM. Episodes will air in double bills each week. Viewers can also stream the series from January 5 on ZDF’s platform.
Ignatova’s scheme, OneCoin, defrauded millions of investors worldwide. The series centres on Claire Walsh, a fictional victim representing those who lost money. Actress Nilam Farooq plays Ignatova, describing her as charismatic, manipulative, and obsessed with power. The show follows Ignatova’s rapid ascent and sudden disappearance. While it explores theories about her whereabouts, the final episode makes clear that no definitive answers exist. Public sources, including FBI wanted posters, still list her as one of the agency’s top ten fugitives.
