Tom Brady Statue Unveiled at Patriot Place Plaza

A new landmark has been added to the Foxboro landscape, as a statue of legendary quarterback Tom Brady was unveiled at the Patriot Place Plaza adjacent to the Patriots Hall of Fame. The statue, commissioned by Patriots team owner Robert Kraft, was created by local sculptor Jeff Buccacio, a lifelong Patriots fan from New England.

The bronze statue, standing at 12 feet tall, depicts Brady with his right fist raised in a celebratory pose. The statue marks the first time a Patriots player has been honored with a statue in Foxborough.

The creation of the statue took over 20,000 hours, with Buccacio Sculpture Services using bronze casting, 3D scanning, traditional clay sculpting, and modern enlargement methods to bring the statue to life. The statue's base, a hexagon, symbolizes the six Super Bowl championships Brady brought to Foxboro as a member of the Patriots.

The statue was initially intended to be unveiled during the 2024 season, but was moved up due to Brady's busy broadcasting schedule. After being in storage for over a year, the statue was finally placed outside the Patriots Hall of Fame in August 2025, just ahead of Friday night's preseason opener between the Patriots and the Washington Commanders at Gillette Stadium.

The statue ceremony was attended by over 60,000 fans, Brady's former teammates, NFL foes-turned-friends, and former New England head coach Bill Belichick. Matt Geagan, a sports producer for WBZ and a sports journalist who has covered Boston sports for nearly 20 years, was present to document the historic event.

The statue, illuminated from above, is visible both day and night, immortalizing Tom Brady, the greatest player in the history of the New England Patriots. The statue is a testament to Brady's impact on the Patriots franchise and his enduring legacy in the sport.
