New movies and series flood streaming platforms this week

A wave of new films and series will hit major streaming platforms from January 12 to 18. Netflix, Disney+, Sky, Apple TV+, and HBO Max are all rolling out fresh titles across different genres. Fans of crime, drama, and documentaries will have plenty to choose from in the coming week.

The first releases arrive on January 13 with HBO Max. The platform debuts The Seduction, a six-episode miniseries starring Anamaria Vartolomei and Diane Kruger. That same day, it also launches The Pitt, a 15-episode drama series featuring Noah Wyle in the lead role.

On January 14, two major titles drop. Apple TV+ introduces Hijack, an eight-part miniseries headlined by Idris Elba. Meanwhile, Disney+ premieres Pole to Pole with Will Smith, a seven-episode docuseries following the actor on a global adventure.

Netflix joins the lineup on January 15 with Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials, a three-episode mystery series. The cast includes Mia McKenna-Bruce, Helena Bonham Carter, and Martin Freeman. The next day, January 16, brings two more premieres: Sky’s Ponies, an eight-episode miniseries starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson, and Netflix’s The Rip, a 133-minute film with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in the lead roles.

The new releases cover a mix of genres, from crime dramas to documentaries and thrillers. Viewers will have access to fresh content across five major platforms over just seven days. Each title brings well-known actors and varied storytelling to audiences worldwide.
