New England Patriots reveal monument honoring Tom Brady, Football icon celebrated for guiding team to six Super Bowl victories
Tom Brady's Epic Statue Unveiled at Gillette Stadium
A grand ceremony took place at Gillette Stadium on August 8, 2025, as the New England Patriots unveiled a monumental statue of their legendary quarterback, Tom Brady. The statue, standing tall at 17 feet, is a testament to Brady's remarkable career with the team.
Sculpted by Buccacio Sculpture Services of Canton, Massachusetts, the statue is a sight to behold. It features a 12-foot bronze figure of Brady, with his fist raised in triumph, standing on a hexagonal granite base. The base, symbolizing the Patriots' six Super Bowl victories, weighs approximately 10,500 pounds, while the bronze figure itself weighs 1,800 pounds.
The statue was unveiled after plans and a commission were announced during Brady's Patriots Hall of Fame induction event in 2024. It now stands prominently outside the Patriots Hall of Fame at Gillette Stadium, serving as a permanent tribute to Brady's transformative impact.
Brady's career with the Patriots spanned 20 years, during which he led the team to 19 AFC East titles and 13 AFC Championship appearances. He also made 9 Super Bowl appearances, winning 6 of them.
The ceremony was attended by Brady's parents, children, coach Mike Vrabel, and several former teammates. The event was also graced by members of the Commanders entourage, including Adam Peters and Deatrich Wise.
In a light-hearted moment, Brady made a self-deprecating comment about the statue, saying it would be appropriate only when he is "really old." He also joked about the statue giving Jets fans something to throw their beers at as they leave the stadium every year.
The ceremony concluded with the retirement of Brady's No. 12, a number he wore with pride throughout his career. As the most-decorated player in the NFL, Brady retired in 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will be immortalized by this impressive statue.
