New Developments with Hazbin Hotel and Its Helluva Boss Spinoff Series Continue

Prime Video announces continued partnership with creator Vivienne Madrano for "Hazbin Hotel" and "Helluva Boss"

In a move to bolster its animation offerings, Amazon's streaming service Prime Video has renewed the animated musical series "Hazbin Hotel" for another two seasons. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, reporting that this brings the total seasons up to six, including the previously announced seasons through season four currently in production.

The renewal is part of a new first-look deal between Prime Video and Madrano to develop new projects. Beginning this fall, Prime Video will also be the exclusive streaming platform for the spinoff "Helluva Boss." Created by Madrano and Spindlehorse, the show takes place in the underworld and focuses on a group of characters working at a hitman company for human clients.

Seasons 3 and 4 of "Helluva Boss" have also been secured by Prime Video, marking a significant expansion of the "Hellaverse." The first two seasons of "Helluva Boss," currently available on YouTube, will start streaming on Prime Video in the fall of 2025. Seasons 3 and 4 will be available on Prime Video before being accessible on YouTube at a later date.

The creator of both series, Vivienne Madrano, expressed her gratitude to Prime Video for their continued support of her work. In a statement, she expressed her anticipation for the continued growth of independent animation and the opportunities this collaboration presents for her and her team. The partnership could lead to more innovative storytelling and character development across both series.

The announcement of "Helluva Boss" joining Prime Video alongside "Hazbin Hotel" hints at the potential for crossover content or storytelling. A promotional video released by Prime Video shows the two corners of Hell coming together for the first time, indicating possible interactions or collaborations between characters from both series. Given that both series are set in the same universe, there is significant potential for crossover storylines or character appearances, which could enrich the narrative and deepen the viewer's understanding of the world.

With this partnership, fans of "Hazbin Hotel" and "Helluva Boss" can look forward to new seasons, as well as potentially exciting crossover content in the near future.
