Revamped Rally Calendar Shuffles
The 2024 German Rally Championship switches gears
Slip into your rally shoes and rev your engines, because the 2024 German Rally Championship (GRC) has unveiled some new dates for the upcoming season. The calendar has seen a few tweaks to avoid overlapping with other events, pushing back rounds six and seven by a week.
Stemwede's nine and ten, the penultimate round
Germany's rally elite will now meet at Stemweder Berg on August 9 and 10 for the penultimate round of the season. The grand finale, complete with the award ceremony for the new German champions, has also been shifted back a week. The ADAC Ostsee Rallye will kick off on 6 and 7 September. With a total of seven rounds on the program, the GRC 2024 kicks off on March 15 and 16 at the ADAC Rallye Erzgebirge in Stollberg.
A season of highs and lows
The ADAC Actronics Rally Sulingen follows on May 3 and 4, before the DRM and DRM2 participants can look forward to a premiere at the third round, the Hunsrück Rally around Idar-Oberstein. The one-day DRM Sprint is on the calendar, covering around 70 kilometers on May 25. The DRM will celebrate its half-time at the 3rd ADAC Rallye Mittelrhein (June 14/15) in the vineyards on the Moselle.
The hot phase approaches
Before the final two stops at Stemweder Berg and the Baltic Sea, the ADAC Saarland-Pfalz Rally on June 28 and 29 heralds the hot phase of the season. The 2024 GRC calendar is not without its changes but provides an exhilarating, thrilling experience for both drivers and spectators alike.
