New conservative political party established in Romania by ex-AUR leader
Revised Base Article:
On June 21, Claudiu Târziu, a former luminary of the far-right Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), made a bold move, launching a new conservative party dubbed The Conservative Action. This daring move comes in direct opposition to the recently announced centrist and pro-EU government, which Târziu deems a "treacherous coalition" that his new party aims to keep in check.
"On a sweltering summer's day, we unveiled The Conservative Action, with a fervent crowd of supporters and an inspiring team of founders and backers! Every step of this ambitious political journey, starting yesterday, will be meticulously executed in the days and weeks ahead. We embrace our role as the official opposition party, ready to challenge and reprimand this treacherous coalition with unwavering resolve," Târziu declared on his Facebook page.
The party aspires to forge a presence in every county and locality across Romania, wishing to establish the nation's most formidable political structure from the ground up.
"The goal here is simple: to craft a battle-hardened political behemoth, one that roars with power not only at the capital but throughout every corner of this great land," Târziu emphatically stated.
Recalling recent history, Târziu severed ties with AUR back in April, citing what he saw as the increasing autocratic rule of AUR president George Simion. Târziu, regarded as the party's chief ideologist, decried a regime that prioritized loyalty over strategy and principles, effectively transforming AUR into "The George Simion Party."
The original AUR was known for stances that were firmly nationalist, strongly Eurosceptic, and socially conservative. It had sought to place Romania at the helm of Central and Eastern Europe with a Eurosceptic outlook, while maintaining a firm pro-NATO stance. Regrettably, internal disputes ultimately culminated in Târziu's departure and the subsequent formation of The Conservative Action Party.
"The Conservative Action, recently launched by Claudiu Târziu, has emphasized its intent to engage in challenging the current centrist and pro-EU government, a stance that aligns with the party's conservative policies and legislative goals as outlined in their political journey."
"In an effort to establish itself as the nation's most formidable political structure, The Conservative Action aims to gain a presence in every county and locality across Romania, making headlines not only in general news but also in the realm of policy-and-legislation and politics."
