New AI-Powered Microinsurance Platform Launches for Latin America’s Underserved
Three technology firms have joined forces to launch a new microinsurance platform for Latin America and the Caribbean. FLock.io, Deluthium, and Aerodrome are developing CARiFIN, a system designed to tackle long-standing issues in financial access. The project has already attracted attention from both crypto and development communities for its focus on underserved groups, including women in the region.
The CARiFIN platform aims to address key challenges in microinsurance: trust, liquidity, and compliance. FLock.io will contribute its decentralised AI to handle risk modelling, while Deluthium takes charge of liquidity management. Aerodrome’s role involves on-chain identity verification to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
CARiFIN’s launch marks a step toward greater financial inclusion in Latin America and the Caribbean. The platform’s use of decentralised AI, liquidity management, and compliance tools aims to remove barriers for underserved communities. If successful, the model could set a precedent for similar initiatives in other regions.
