In the recent North German team championships for seniors held in Berlin, ESV Neustadt put up a valiant effort but ultimately finished in fourth place. The tournament, organised for table tennis enthusiasts aged 40 and above, saw ESV Neustadt competing against some of the best teams in the region.

The team started off on a challenging note, losing all three matches on the first day against Herta BSC Berlin, SV Werder Bremen, and Niendorfer TSV, with each match ending in a score of 0:3. However, ESV Neustadt showed resilience and bounced back on the second day, securing victories against TSV Stahnsdorf (3:0) and TSV Rostock Süd (3:1). Despite these victories, they could not improve their overall position in the championship.

The match against TSV Stahnsdorf was a close one, with ESV Neustadt losing by a narrow margin of 2:3. The match against TSV Rostock Süd was more decisive, with ESV Neustadt securing a comfortable 3:1 victory.

In the women's 40 category, ESV Neustadt's players faced opponents who were 10 to 25 years younger. Despite the age difference, the team put up a strong fight, demonstrating their skill and determination. In the women's 50 category, Christiane Lehmann and Hilke Lüder represented ESV Neustadt, competing against opponents of a similar age.

Niendorfer TSV, one of ESV Neustadt's opponents, went on to secure the top three spots in reverse order. ESV Neustadt's final opponents, SC Parchim, also proved to be a tough challenge, with the match ending in a score of 2:3.

ESV Neustadt's participation in the North German team championships for seniors saw four players representing the team. The team's final position in the championship was fourth place, while they finished fifth in the women's 50 category.
