In a nail-biting encounter, VfR Neuburg demonstrated their comeback qualities to secure their first home win of the season in a 2:2 draw against TSV Zusmarshausen.

The match started with a quick goal for TSV Zusmarshausen, as Marc Sirch scored in the 10th minute. VfR Neuburg responded well, equalizing in the 27th minute through Ferdinand Fischer-Stabauer. The first half ended with another equalizer for TSV Zusmarshausen, making it 2:1 at the break.

After the equalizer and the equalizing goal, Fischer-Stabauer had the opportunity to turn the game around, and he did just that by scoring his second goal in the 80th minute. Goalkeeper Dominik Jozinovic kept VfR Neuburg in the game several times with saves after his own mistakes, ensuring the home team stayed in contention.

Fischer-Stabauer's shot off the inside post after around 80 minutes didn't go in, but the striker had already secured the vital point for VfR Neuburg. The team, coached by Moritz Bartoschek, was praised for their performance in the first home game of the season.

VfR Neuburg's defence, consisting of Jason Kifmann, Marcel Mehl, Sandi Omanovic, Maximilian Christl, and the reliable figure of captain Sebastian Habermeyer, showed resilience throughout the game. The midfield duo of Fatlind Talla and Frederic Wytopil provided the necessary support, while Leon Beran and Fischer-Stabauer led the attack.

Despite creating fewer good chances compared to their opponents, VfR Neuburg converted two of them, thanks to Fischer-Stabauer's clinical finishing. The team's satisfaction with their start to the season is evident, having earned four points from two games, marking the best season start in three years.

TSV Zusmarshausen, who have gone twelve consecutive games without defeat across two seasons, will be disappointed not to have taken all three points. They were led by Luca Jaskolka, who scored the second goal for TSV Zusmarshausen with a header after a cross in the 12th minute.

VfR Neuburg will look to build on this result when they play their next game on Wednesday evening against BC Rinnenthal. They will be aiming to continue their positive start to the season and challenge for a higher position in the league.

Football was the focus as VfR Neuburg and TSV Zusmarshausen faced off, with both teams showcasing resilience and determination. In a closely contested match, Fischer-Stabauer's brace for VfR Neuburg clinched a hard-fought 2:2 draw, showcasing his prowess in sports.
