Netlixt's Korean culture surge sees Nongshim Shin Ramyun hopping on board

South Korean instant noodle giant, Nongshim, is teaming up with Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation to launch a product line inspired by the animated series 'K-Pop Demon Hunters'. The collaboration is set to bring fans closer to the world of 'HUNTR/X' members, as they can now enjoy products that mirror what the characters enjoyed in the show.

The global popularity of 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' can be attributed to its portrayal of Korean culture, including K-pop music, K-food, and street fashion. This collaboration aims to capitalise on this success by offering fans a taste of the show's universe.

The product line includes a special edition Shin Ramyun, Shrimp Crackers, and a new product called 'Shin Toomba Sauce'. These items are inspired by the popular characters and elements from the animated film. Fans will be able to spot their favourite characters, such as Rumi, Mira, and Zoey of 'HUNTR/X', the Saja Boys, and Derpy the tiger mascot, on the packaging.

Nongshim, renowned for its flagship product, Shin Ramyun, will also be releasing a limited-edition version of the noodles exclusively in Korea. The new global slogan for Shin Ramyun is 'Spicy Happiness In Noodles', reflecting its mission to deliver spicy joy and cultural value to people worldwide.

The global launch of these co-branded products is scheduled to start in late August 2025, targeting Korea, North America, Europe, Oceania, Southeast Asia, and Mexico. Nongshim plans to engage with fans globally through various marketing campaigns, including social media, digital content, and offline pop-up stores.

This collaboration originated from the grassroots fan buzz, as fans organically identified Nongshim's products in the film and shared their enthusiasm. This laid the foundation for the partnership between Nongshim, Netflix, and Sony Pictures Animation. The products are inspired by the animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', produced by Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation.

With this collaboration, Nongshim continues to innovate and stay at the forefront of pop culture, offering fans unique and exciting experiences that blend entertainment and food.
