Netflix's Film Makes New Milestone in Streaming Industry - Netflix's movie breaks new ground in streaming
In the vibrant world of animated films, one production has taken the streaming giant by storm - "KPop Demon Hunters". This original production on Netflix, directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, has been captivating audiences across the globe for nearly three months.
The film follows the thrilling story of K-Pop band Huntr/x, who are not just musicians but also demon hunters in reality. With its unusual combination of KPop music and demon hunting themes, "KPop Demon Hunters" has set various records and received outstanding reviews.
Currently, the film is ranked number one in 39 countries, according to the official Netflix site, and has been in the global top 10 charts for 13 weeks. This success has been further bolstered by the sing-along version's success in North American cinemas.
The most significant achievement, however, is the film's place on the all-time Netflix views leaderboard. As of this week, "KPop Demon Hunters" has been in the eligible time frame and, astonishingly, has reached over 314 million views, surpassing the previous record held by "Red Notice".
One intriguing aspect of the film is the portrayal of the members of the K-Pop boy group Saja Boys. In "KPop Demon Hunters", these characters are actually demons. While the complete cast for the Saja Boys members Abby, Mystery, Romance, and Baby has not been officially published, it is known that Korean actor Ahn Hyo-seop provides the voice for one of the Saja Boys.
The success of "KPop Demon Hunters" extends beyond the screen. In Germany, the song "Golden" from the film was declared the official summer hit of 2025 by GfK Entertainment. The soundtrack of the film has also become a global hit.
Despite reaching the eligible time frame for the all-time Netflix views leaderboard, the hype for "KPop Demon Hunters" shows no signs of slowing down. With its unique blend of music, action, and fantasy, it seems that "KPop Demon Hunters" is here to stay.
