Netflix will soon stream the film titled '28 Years Later'. Find out when the release date is set.
In the realm of horror cinema, Danny Boyle's zombie franchise '28 Days Later' has been a prominent figure since its inception over two decades ago. The original film, created in collaboration with Alex Garland, introduced a unique type of threat: running zombies infected with the Rage Virus.
This year, the franchise has returned with a new trilogy, titled '28 Years Later'. The third installment in the series, starring Jodie Comer, Alfie Williams, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Sam Locke, Erin Kellyman, and Ralph Fiennes, premiered in theaters earlier this year.
If you haven't seen it yet, now is the ideal time. '28 Years Later' is set to release on streaming platforms this week, and it will be available on Netflix from Saturday, Sept. 20. Netflix offers three subscription tiers: an ad-supported plan for $8 a month, a Standard plan for $18 a month, and a Premium plan for $25 a month.
For those interested in watching the entire trilogy, '28 Days Later' is currently available for free on Pluto TV, and '28 Weeks Later', a sequel to '28 Days Later' released in 2007, can be found on Hulu.
In addition to the aforementioned stars, Jack O'Connell also plays a significant role in '28 Years Later'.
As for the future of the franchise, the next chapter in the trilogy, titled 'The Bone Temple', is slated to premiere in early 2026.
For Comcast subscribers, the StreamSaver bundle could be an appealing option. This bundle includes Netflix, Peacock, and Apple TV Plus for just $15 a month.
