One Piece Netflix's Third Season Officially Announced

Exciting news for fans of the popular anime series, One Piece! On August 10, 2025, Netflix officially announced the renewal of the live-action adaptation for a third season. The announcement was made at an annual celebration for Eiichiro Oda's long-running manga epic in Tokyo and was also shared on Netflix's official news portal "Tudum".

The early renewal demonstrates Netflix's confidence in the series, which became one of their biggest successes in 2023 with the first season's manga adaptation. The second season, titled "Into the Grand Line", is set to premiere in 2026, following the release of the first season.

In the second season, the crew will navigate the legendary Grand Line, a sea route filled with danger and wonder, as hinted by Netflix's description of the season as a journey where danger and wonder lurk around every corner. The teaser, released coinciding with the renewal announcement for season three, features Monkey D. Ruffy and his Straw Hat Pirates embarking on new adventures.

Ian Stokes, who wrote two episodes of the first season and served as a co-producer, will join Joe Tracz as co-showrunner for season 3. Stokes replaces Matt Owens, who stepped away from the project in March due to excessive mental stress.

Production on season three is set to begin later this year, with filming scheduled to occur in late 2025 through Spring 2026. Based on this timeline, it is expected that season 3 will be released around mid-to-late 2027, likely in July or August 2027.

The teaser, made public on Netflix's official news portal, includes first looks at new characters, adding to the anticipation for the upcoming season. Fans are eagerly waiting for the second season's premiere and the continuation of the exciting adventures of Monkey D. Ruffy and his Straw Hat Pirates.

Although I'm not going to be able to get you to go to the bathroom right now, let's discuss the entertainment aspect related to the news.
