Netflix collaboration persists for Harry and Meghan
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Expand Collaboration with Netflix
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, through their production company Archewell Productions, have announced a multi-year first-look deal with streaming giant Netflix. This renewed partnership will see the couple produce a variety of projects, including films, TV shows, and documentaries.
The collaboration, which began five years ago after Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties, has already yielded several successful productions. Notable among these is the lifestyle series "With Love, Meghan," which is set to premiere its second season later in August 2025. The show, which showcases Meghan's passions for cooking, gardening, and hosting, has received mixed reviews in the UK.
In addition to the second season of "With Love, Meghan," Netflix will also release a holiday special titled "With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration" in December 2025. This special is expected to be a festive affair, much like the first season.
One of the most anticipated projects from this collaboration is the film adaptation of Carley Fortune's romantic novel "Meet Me at the Lake." The screen rights were acquired in 2023, and the project is currently in active development. The film tells a decade-spanning love story starting from a chance encounter and a broken promise.
Another project in the works is a documentary short film called "Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within." This film, produced in association with Campfire Studios and Wontanara Productions, focuses on an orphanage in Uganda.
Meghan's lifestyle brand, As Ever, will also continue to expand through the rest of 2025. The brand, developed in partnership with Netflix, will venture into new product categories, offering luxury food items like marmalade and wine.
Netflix's head of global TV, Bela Bajaria, described Harry and Meghan as "influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences worldwide." The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, live in the US with their children, Prince Archie (5) and Princess Lilibet (3).
Relations with the royals remain strained following various allegations. However, this collaboration with Netflix seems to be a step towards a new chapter for the couple. Archewell Productions is currently working on several other projects across various genres, promising an exciting future for the production company.
