Netflix Anime Series Dan Da Dan Set for Season 3: Anticipated Release Date, Plot Details, and All Known Information
Dan Da Dan, the popular sci-fi anime series, is set to return for a third season, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release. The show, which is available for streaming on both Crunchyroll and Netflix, has gained a dedicated following since its debut.
The third season is expected to follow the "Space Globalists" arc from the manga, continuing the thrilling adventures of the series. However, as of now, no release date has been announced for the new season.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to Studio Science SARU, the production studio behind Season 2, taking the helm once again. The studio is also working on an adaptation of the manga Sanda, set to debut in October 2025, and a version of the classic Ghost in the Shell manga for release next year.
The story of Dan Da Dan revolves around two high school students, Ken Takakura (also known as Okarun) and Momo Ayase, who embark on numerous sci-fi adventures. The English dub of the series is simulcast with the Japanese subtitled version, with a talented cast of voice actors bringing the eccentric characters to life. Abby Trott, AJ Beckles, Kari Wahlgren, Aleks Le, Lisa Reimold, and Barbara Goodson are among the main voice actors.
The past seasons of Dan Da Dan have had 12 episodes each, so it is likely that season 3 will follow this pattern. The series is known for its faithful adaptation of its source material, making it necessary to watch all episodes to fully understand the plot.
In the second season, Okarun becomes possessed by a spirit called "Evil Eye," and the group must deal with attempts to exorcise and coexist with the entity. The cast for the third season has not been confirmed yet, but it is expected that the main voice actors will return, including Shion Wakayama, Natsuki Hanae, Nana Mizuki, Kaito Ishikawa, Ayane Sakura, and Mayumi Tanaka.
As of now, there is no Dan Da Dan season 3 trailer available. The practice of anime premiering on multiple streaming services simultaneously, such as One Piece, is becoming more common, so fans can expect to be able to watch the new season on both Crunchyroll and Netflix when it is released.
