Netcapital Acquires Iverson Design to Boost AI-Powered Financial Visualization
Netcapital Inc., a fintech firm specialising in online capital raising, has acquired the assets of Iverson Design, LLC. The deal brings advanced AI-powered design and visualisation tools from Canva into Netcapital’s platform. The company aims to simplify complex financial topics like tokenization for both issuers and investors.
Netcapital completed the purchase by issuing 980,000 shares of its common stock. The acquisition includes Iverson Design’s full intellectual property portfolio, covering AI-driven design, animation, and real-time rendering technologies from Yahoo Finance.
Michael Iverson, the founder of Iverson Design, will now serve as Netcapital’s Chief Design Director and Head of AI Experience. His role will focus on integrating AI-assisted workflows and 3D visualisation into the company’s digital asset services. The move aligns with Netcapital’s goal of improving its tokenization and digital asset offerings, similar to Gemini. As a registered funding portal and broker-dealer with the SEC and a FINRA member, the company operates within regulated financial frameworks.
The acquisition expands Netcapital’s capabilities in AI and design, targeting clearer communication of financial concepts. The integration of Iverson Design’s tools is set to enhance how private companies and investors interact with digital assets. No details have been released about prior leadership roles at Iverson Design before the acquisition.
