In a thrilling turn of events, the Week 5 matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs has become the most-watched "Monday Night Football" (MNF) game on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes since November 2019.

The Saints-Chiefs clash, which was not simulcast on ABC, attracted an audience of 15,910,000 viewers, making it ESPN's most-watched MNF NFL game not simulcast on ABC since November 2019. This viewership also surpassed the audience for the 2022 Raiders-Chiefs game, previously ESPN's most-watched non-ABC simulcast game.

The Saints-Chiefs game was also the fourth-most-watched MNF game not simulcast on ABC in the last 10 seasons, dating back to 2015. Interestingly, in the past ten years, three NFL games that aired on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes and drew more viewers than the October 7, 2023, game are not publicly specified in detail.

The increased viewership is not limited to the main game. The pregame show "Monday Night Countdown" on ESPN also saw a boost, averaging 1.2 million viewers. This marks a 6% increase from its Week 5 edition in 2023.

Moreover, the "Monday Night Football With Peyton and Eli" show on ESPN2 has been seeing a steady increase in its audience this season. The show delivered 1.4 million viewers in its latest episode, which is the best audience for the show in its last seven episodes.

The success of the Saints-Chiefs game on ESPN networks is a testament to the enduring popularity of "Monday Night Football" and the excitement generated by these two high-octane teams. As the season progresses, fans can look forward to more captivating games and engaging analysis on ESPN.
