Take a Gander at Charles Barkley Bashing the NCAA as Total Imbeciles

During an appearance on OutKick's "Don't @ Me with Dan Dakich," the spirited Charles Barkley voiced his frustrations with the NCAA's handling of NIL and the transfer portal.

Our beloved basketball pundit, Barkley, ain't holding back when it comes to slamming the NCAA's management style. At 62 years old, he ain't afraid to call 'em like he sees 'em: "The NCAA, they're a buncha idiots and fools. They've wreaked havoc on the sport. I can't fathom how you can put the toothpaste back into the tube," he roared during the show.

The old timer ain't exactly pro-NCAA, but he ain't against college athletes raking in some dough, either. But, he's scratching his head trying to figure out how much dough these players should be makin', and how often they can up and leave for another university.

"This idea that I gotta drop tens of millions of bucks just to pay kids to play basketball, and have 'em be almighty free agents every year and transfer to another school for even more moolah? That's some NBA stuff, and we don't even get to do that, son!" Barkley shared his thoughts.

While some might still praise the NCAA, Barkley ain't one of 'em. He even questioned whether he'd ever donate to his alma mater, Auburn, to help its NIL fund. Forget it, he'd rather dump his cash elsewhere.

" I donated a colossal 10 million bucks to HBCU's, that stuff is way more important to me. I threw a couple of million dollars into 'Blight', in ol' Birmingham to help rebuild homes, eradicate that mess," Barkley continued. "That's far more vital to me than joining the sewer that is college athletics. We're a two-bit country, Dan. We've totally bungled up college athletics, and I don't wanna touch that cesspool."

If even a 11-time All-Star like Barkley can't wrap his mind around donating to Auburn's NIL fund, well, it makes you wonder, doesn't it?

"If I send a kid a few mil or more, I ain't sure how I'm gonna get my money back if he's only gonna be at my college for one year, and y'all ain't gonna win the championship," Barkley mused.
