The much-anticipated Season 51 of Saturday Night Live is just around the corner, and the show has revealed an exciting lineup of hosts and musical guests for the upcoming news season.

Kicking off the new season on October 4, Bad Bunny will take on the hosting duties for the Season 51 premiere. The Puerto Rican rapper and singer will also be the musical guest, marking his second time on the show.

The Season 51 premiere will not be the only time fans can look forward to Bad Bunny's presence on the show. He was also a part of the SNL50 anniversary specials that took place earlier this year.

Following Bad Bunny, Doja Cat will make her debut as the musical guest on the Season 51 premiere. This will be her first time on the show, and fans are eagerly awaiting her performance.

The second episode of Season 51, airing on October 11, will see Amy Poehler returning as host. This special episode will also mark a significant milestone, as it will air 50 years to the day of the first Saturday Night Live episode on October 11, 1975.

Amy Poehler's episode will not be her first time on the show. She has previously been a part of the SNL50 anniversary specials. Additionally, she will be joined by Role Model as the musical guest for this episode.

Sabrina Carpenter, another familiar face on Saturday Night Live, will host and be the musical guest on the third episode of Season 51, airing on October 18. Carpenter has previously been the music guest on the show but has yet to host.

Unfortunately, the show will bid farewell to some of its long-standing members. Ego Nwodim, Heidi Gardner, Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow, and Emil Wakim have all announced their departures from the show. Devon Walker's departure was a mutual decision, while Heidi Gardner's contract was not renewed for the new season.

In addition to the departures, the series has announced five new cast members for Season 51: Kam Patterson, Veronika Slowikowska, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, and Ben Marshall. Ben Marshall is an SNL writer and one-third of the 'Please Do Not Destroy' comedy troop. The name of the comedian who will appear as a new featured player in season 51 of SNL was not found in the provided search results.

All 50 seasons of Saturday Night Live can be streamed on Peacock, so fans can catch up on their favourite sketches and performances before the new season begins. Don't miss out on the hilarious and entertaining episodes that Season 51 has in store for us!
