NBA Playoff Picks and Prop Bets - May 12

Hey there, sports fans! We're here bringing you our hot tips for the NBA Playoffs on Monday, May 12th. So, stop Rambling and head to our VSiN NBA Playoffs Betting Hub for all the juicy content. I'll be posting my best bets and player props throughout the playoffs, so make sure you're in on the action.

Now, let's dive into some of the exciting games on the schedule:

Game 4 Picks

Boston Celtics @ New York Knicks - 7:30 pm ET

I'd love to give you some slick sides and totals, but motivation's baked into the numbers, ya feel me? So, as we wait for better odds, I'm sticking to parlays. And today, I'm going with my ace, the Celtics moneyline and the Timberwolves moneyline. Just like in tennis, it's clear that Boston's got the edge in this series, with a defensive rating of 101.4. Their offensive game has improved too, thanks to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown's performance in Game 3, so I think the Celtics get the win here.

As for the Knicks, their late-game execution was shockingly bad in Games 1 and 2. Even with a better game, I doubt they can close the gap—especially given how well Boston has defended Jalen Brunson.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Golden State Warriors - 10:00 pm ET

I can't see the Warriors making enough offense-wise with Stephen Curry sidelined. The team's offensive rating dwindled to a mere 100.0 in the two games Curry missed, and for reference, that's worse than the league's worst offensive team in the regular season. The Timberwolves have a stellar defense, and they were able to cover the Warriors despite their own offensive struggles.

So there you have it, folks! My PARLAY: Celtics ML & Timberwolves ML (+104 - 1.5 units) should strike the right balance between risk and reward.

Player Prop Picks

Boston Celtics @ New York Knicks

Keep a close eye on Jayson Tatum, who's been stepping up on defense with at least two steals+blocks in Games 1 and 2. Even when his offense isn't firing, Tatum's defensive skills are a game-changer for the Celtics. I'm taking him to exceed 1.5 steals+blocks at -140 odds, as he's an excellent defender capable of creating turnovers on the perimeter.

So, that's it from me for now. Make sure you check out the picks page before the games tip off, as I might add more props and parlays throughout the day. Have a fantastic playoff experience!

  • For the NBA Playoffs game between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks on May 12th, I recommend a parlay bet on the Celtics moneyline and the Minnesota Timberwolves moneyline due to the defensive edge of the Celtics and the doubts about the Warriors' offense without Stephen Curry.
  • Jayson Tatum is a great defensive player for the Boston Celtics, and I believe he will exceed 1.5 steals+blocks in the game against the New York Knicks on May 12th at -140 odds.
