The festivities will officially commence at noon, with Munich's Mayor, Reiter, tapping the first barrel in the Schottenhamel tent. This age-old tradition marks the start of beer service at the other tents, which will be signalled by twelve shots.

From 10 am, non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the Oktoberfest, making it accessible for all visitors from the very first day.

The Theresienwiese, where the Oktoberfest takes place, and the beer tents will open their doors at 9 am. A free beer tent guide is available, providing details about the 14 large Oktoberfest tents, beer prices, and an overview of the 21 small tents. The guide also includes a site plan to aid quick orientation.

Entertainment during the nights at the Wiesn typically lasts until around 1:30 am to 2:30 am, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, with festivities continuing into the early morning hours. However, last drinks are served in the smaller tents at 11 pm, while in the larger tents, the last call comes at 10:30 pm.

Security personnel will be on hand to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Last year, they checked people while they were waiting in line. Some popular tents, such as Kafer's Wiesn-Schänke and Kuffler's Weinzelt, will continue serving drinks until 12:30 am, with their doors closing at 1 am.

It's expected that many people will line up early on Saturday to secure their spot at the entrances to the Oktoberfest. The Wiesn Wirts' procession will enter at 10:35 am, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning reveller, the 190th Oktoberfest promises an unforgettable experience. So, grab your steins, put on your traditional outfits, and get ready to immerse yourself in Bavarian culture and camaraderie. Prost!
