Nordic-Baltic Countries Unite to Support Ukraine in Peace Efforts
The Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) countries have collectively reaffirmed their commitment to upholding and imposing restrictive measures against the Russian Federation, in response to Russia's illegal war of aggression against Ukraine.
The NB8, consisting of Latvia, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Lithuania, Norway, Finland, and Sweden, have emphasized the importance of allowing the people of Ukraine to decide their own future. They have also reaffirmed the principle that international borders must not be changed by force.
In a joint statement, the Prime Ministers of the NB8 countries, including Prime Minister Evika Siliņa on behalf of Latvia, expressed their readiness to contribute to this work diplomatically.
