Navi Mumbai Braces for 18-Hour Water Supply Shutdown on Nov 4
Navi Mumbai residents brace for an 18-hour water supply shutdown on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has announced the shutdown to carry out essential maintenance on the city's main water pipeline network. The shutdown will affect major nodes including Belapur, Nerul, Vashi, Turbhe, Sanpada, Koparkhairane, Ghansoli, Airoli, Kharghar, and Kamothe. The civic body has requested residents to store water in advance and use it sparingly during the shutdown. The work involves connecting a new water pipeline to the Master Balancing Reservoir (MBR) at the Bhokarpada Water Treatment Plant and installing new valves on the Morbe main transmission pipeline. Residents are urged to cooperate and avoid wastage during the maintenance period. While water supply is expected to resume on Wednesday morning, pressure may be low during morning and evening hours. The water supply shutdown is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday to 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5. The NMMC appeals to residents for their understanding and cooperation during this essential maintenance work.
