Naval academy ends lockdown following threat investigation, one individual sustained injuries during the event

Elfreth is committed to working with state and local leaders, the leadership of the U.S. Naval Academy, and her colleagues on the House Armed Services Committee to ensure proper lessons are learned from the incident.
In a show of resilience, Elfreth called for the nation to recover its collective humanity and take a lesson from the Midshipmen's resilience, quoting "Don't give up the ship." As of 12:17 a.m., the lockdown has been lifted, and the U.S. Naval Academy has been given the all clear. Authorities responded to reports of suspicious activity on the Naval Academy grounds at 5:07 p.m.
