Nation's League Final Four: Amiri's Absence Costs DFB their Place

Germany faces Nations League Semi-Final Without Nadiem Amiri

German National Team Coach Julian Nagelsmann will be without midfielder Nadiem Amiri in the Final Four of the Nations League. The FC Mainz 05 player has sustained an adductor injury and will not be replaced immediately.

Amiri's withdrawal from the team's training camp in Herzogenaurach follows a series of injuries to regular starters Jamal Musiala, Antonio Rüdiger, Kai Havertz, Nico Schlotterbeck, Tim Kleindienst, and Benjamin Henrichs. Initially nominated Stuttgart's Angelo Stiller also had to withdraw due to injury, with Jonathan Burkardt called up as a replacement.

Yann Bisseck, a defender for the national team, is set to join the team later in the evening after the Champions League final with Inter Milan. Meanwhile, Burkardt, who had a minor toe injury from the first training session on Friday, was able to participate in the subsequent sessions.

The German team's first match in the mini-tournament will be against Portugal, featuring superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, in Munich on Wednesday. The final, scheduled for June 8 in the same venue, will pit the winner of the Spain-France fixture on June 5 in Stuttgart against the German team.

While the German Football Association (DFB) has not disclosed a comprehensive and up-to-date squad list for the Final Four, it has confirmed that Amiri will miss both the Nations League semifinal and any subsequent matches due to his injury. Readers are advised to consult the latest German national team squad announcement or official UEFA listings for the Nations League Final Four for the most accurate information.
