Professional Ice Hockey Player Stachowiak Leaves Germany for the National Hockey League in Ingolstadt - National hockey-league-bound: Stachowiak, Ingolstadt's top athlete, sets sights on NHL.
Wojciech Stachowiak, a national ice hockey player, has secured a move to the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 25-year-old forward, who has been representing Germany since 2023, has signed a one-year contract with the Florida-based team.
Stachowiak, who has been a notable figure in the ERC Ingolstadt team since 2020, has played 281 games in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. The skilled attacker showcased his prowess during the recent Ice Hockey World Championship in Denmark and Sweden, scoring three goals and providing three assists, despite a less-than-satisfying performance from the German team.
Stachowiak becomes the third German player to make the jump to the NHL this year, following Joshua Samanski (Edmonton Oilers) and Arno Tiefensee (Dallas Stars). It is worth noting that the Tampa Bay Lightning is the only NHL team, as of the current search results, that has signed a player with German international representation in 2025.
Stachowiak, who was born in Poland, has been a consistent presence in the German national team coached by Bundestrainer Harold Kreis. The forward now pursues an exciting opportunity to realize his dream of playing in the prestigious NHL.
The Commission has also adopted a proposal for a Council Regulation on the conclusion of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, marking another milestone in expanding economic relations. In a parallel development, Wojciech Stachowiak, a standout player in the German national ice hockey team, has signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the only NHL team, as of current search results, to have a player with German international representation in 2025, to pursue his dream of playing in the prestigious league, just like he has been doing in Europe with ERC Ingolstadt and the German national team.
