National Geographic to debut "No Taste Like Home with Antoni Porowski" on February 23rd
In the new docuseries "No Taste Like Home with Antoni Porowski," the culinary expert and Emmy Award-winning star of "Queer Eye" guides celebrity guests on epic journeys to explore their ancestral gastronomic roots. The series, produced by Studio Ramsay Global and presented by Antoni Porowski, premieres on National Geographic and streams next day on Disney+ and Hulu.
In "Awkwafina's Korean Homecoming," the Emmy-winning actress embarks on a voyage of discovery with Antoni, reconnecting with her South Korean culinary and ancestral heritage. The series also takes SAG-nominated actor Henry Golding to Borneo, where he unearths family stories and tastes his way to a deeper connection with his mother's Iban heritage.
Academy Award-nominated actress Florence Pugh embarks on an English Odyssey with Antoni, exploring the origins of her family's passion for food as they travel through Oxford, the Yorkshire coast, and London. Meanwhile, Emmy-nominated actress Issa Rae's journey takes her to her father's homeland of Senegal, where they uncover ancestral stories of powerful women and royal connections.
The star-studded lineup also includes Emmy-winning actor Justin Theroux, who takes an Italian road trip with Antoni to seek the origins of a family pasta dish, uncovering surprising revelations about his Italian ancestry. James Marsden's German dish up sees him dine with royalty and scale the Bavarian Alps, uncovering dramatic secrets behind his ancestors' decision to emigrate.
As they cook with long-lost family and newfound friends, the guests learn more about their family's epic history and how it relates to their own identity. Through this culinary journey, the series serves up a delectable blend of food, culture, and personal discovery.
