NANO Nuclear Energy reports $203M cash reserves and KRONOS reactor progress in 2025

NANO Nuclear Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: NNE) has released its financial results for fiscal year 2025 alongside a business update. The company, now led by CEO James Walker, reported strong cash reserves and key advancements in its nuclear technology projects.

Under Walker’s management, the firm has expanded its operations and secured significant funding while pushing forward with its KRONOS MMR microreactor development.

NANO Nuclear began 2025 with a major acquisition, closing the deal for the patented KRONOS MMR in January. This microreactor, noted for its high technology readiness level (TRL), became a central focus for the company’s research and development efforts. Throughout the year, the team advanced its design toward licensing and prototype construction in both the U.S. and Canada.

To support these ambitions, the company expanded its physical footprint. It acquired a 2.75-acre site in Oak Brook, Illinois, which now houses an engineering, research, and demonstration finance facility. The State of Illinois further backed the project with a $6.8 million award. Alongside infrastructure growth, NANO Nuclear strengthened its workforce by bringing in executives and technical experts with deep industry experience.

Financially, the company ended September 30, 2025, with $203.3 million in cash and equivalents. Over the past twelve months, it spent $19.6 million on operating activities and $17.5 million on investments. However, financing activities brought in $211.9 million, bolstering its cash app position. Jay Yu, Founder and Chairman, highlighted the team’s progress and the value generated for investors and stakeholders during the year.

Today, management will host a webcast at 5:00 pm Eastern to review the results and outline future plans.

With a solid cash reserve and expanded facilities, NANO Nuclear is moving forward with its KRONOS MMR development. The company’s financial report and strategic investments reflect its push toward licensing and commercialisation. The upcoming webcast will provide further details on its next steps and long-term objectives.
