Saying Goodbye to "Naddel": Nadja Abd el Farrag's Private Burial in Hamburg

Nadja Abd el Farrag reportedly undergoes burial proceedings.

Hamburg, the city of Nadja Abd el Farrag's birth and demise, is now her final resting place, according to recent reports. Abd el Farrag, famously known as "Naddel" after her relationship with pop megastar Dieter Bohlen, was reportedly buried in Hanseatic city's Ohlsdorf Cemetery in a low-key ceremony, away from the media pandemonium following her death on May 9.

The funeral was a cozy event attended by close family members such as her mother Ute and sister Tamara, as well as her loyal companion, Golden Retriever, Lilly.

A Life Aiming for Tranquility

In interviews after her passing, Marion Ellendorf, a former manager and friend, revealed that Abd el Farrag yearned for a peaceful, perhaps familial life. Despite her public image, Abd el Farrag harbored dreams of a loving partner, a child, and stable relationships, Ellendorf shared.

Abd el Farrag turned 60 on March 5, but the state of her health at that time remains unclear, given her financial and health tribulations in recent years.

Battling Demons

Abd el Farrag's life was marked by struggles with liver cirrhosis, a condition she partly attributed to the medication she took for ADHD, as she shared in her 2018 autobiography, "Achterbahn." 1 Adding to her woes, she openly discussed her alcohol addiction in a talk show in 2015, confessing that she consumed two to three glasses of wine daily, sometimes alongside champagne, and would often drink during the day. 3 Despite her liver problems, it is reported that Abd el Farrag refused to quit alcohol until the end.
