N26 Opens New European Hub in Madrid to Fuel Expansion

N26 has launched a new European Centre of Excellence in Madrid. The move marks the company's second Operations hub, following its existing base in Berlin. Officials say the decision will boost flexibility and support further expansion in the region.

The Madrid hub will act as a central base for N26's growing Spanish team. According to the company, the city was selected for its strong international links and deep talent pool. N26 already runs a major technology hub in Barcelona, employing over 400 people.

Antón Díez Tubet, General Manager for Spain and Portugal at N26, expects the new centre to drive continued growth. He highlighted Spain's importance as one of the bank's strongest markets. Marcus W. Mosen, Co-CEO at N26, also pointed to significant potential in Southern Europe.

The hub aims to improve operational resilience and diversify risk across Europe. N26 plans to integrate further into Spain's banking sector while strengthening its local presence.

The Madrid centre will help N26 scale its operations and reinforce business continuity. The company intends to build on Spain's dynamic financial environment. No specific employee numbers for Berlin or Barcelona have been disclosed.
