Mystery Unfolds in the Berklands: Saga Grünwald Unveils Second Installment of "Bergish Crime Thriller"

In the heart of Germany's Bergisch Land region, a new mystery unfolds with the publication of Saga Gruenwald's latest book, "Lost in the Bergisch Land." Published by custos Verlag in Solingen in 2025, this crime, mystery, and history novel continues the author's popular Bergisch Crime series.

Set amidst the scenic yet often misty and eerie landscapes of the Bergisch Land, the plot revolves around a local detective, Chief Inspector Artemis Rademacher, who goes missing at the start of the story. As Senior Commissioner Fabian Schneider investigates a mysterious attempted murder, he soon discovers that the cases are inextricably linked.

The story takes readers through a labyrinth of local traditions, personal relationships, and conflicting motives as the protagonist uncovers the truth. The lush forests, old castles, and small villages of the region play a significant role in creating an atmosphere of tension and suspense.

Saga Gruenwald, born in Mannheim and raised in the Odenwald, finds inspiration for her writing in the secluded Grillplatz Altenhammer, a place nestled between Lobach and Preyersmühle, surrounded by wooded hills and crossed by the rushing Eschbach. The author's membership in the German Haiku Society and the Foerderkreis Center for Persecuted Arts reflects her deep connection to the arts and history.

The book, with 296 pages and priced at €14.50 (ISBN 978-3-943195-48-4), is a testament to Gruenwald's storytelling prowess, weaving together elements of classic crime fiction with a strong sense of place, emphasizing both the beauty and the darker undercurrents of Bergisch Land.

For literature enthusiasts, Saga Gruenwald invites you to a "Literary Hike" on August 23rd at the Wanderparkplatz Jagenberg in Solingen. This event is free, but donations for the author are welcome.

As the second book in the Bergisch Crime series, "Lost in the Bergisch Land" adds to the nine-book collection that Gruenwald has written so far. The author's unique writing style, which incorporates atmospheric breaks created by a tongue drum, and her meticulous attention to book design, ensure that each new instalment is a captivating addition to the series.

Readers can delve into the intricate plot and immerse themselves in the rich world of books when they pick up Saga Gruenwald's latest release, "Lost in the Bergisch Land." This entertaining narrative, combining elements of crime, mystery, and history, is a testament to the author's dedication to providing top-notch entertainment.
