Mysterious Russian Trip to Istanbul: Unknown Items Aboard, No Significant Signals Detected
In Istanbul, peace talks continue between Ukrainian and Russian authorities, aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict. Zelensky stated, "At present, there is no clear information about what the Russians intend to bring to Istanbul. Neither Turkey, the United States, nor our other partners have this information. And currently, it doesn't appear very serious."

Significantly, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, handed over a document outlining Ukraine's position to Russia and is waiting for their response in the form of a "memorandum." The Kremlin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, has declined to comment on the conditions for the cessation of fire that Russia will put forward in their "memorandum." However, Peskov did confirm that the Russian delegation would be present in Istanbul on Monday morning for peace talks with Ukraine and would present their memorandum there.
Despite the lack of transparency, Ukraine's spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, has indicated that Russia's reluctance to officially hand over their memorandum suggests the presence of unrealistic demands and an attempt to prolong the peace process. Kuleba reiterated that Ukraine is prepared for another round of talks but is still awaiting the promised text of the "memorandum" on the cessation of hostilities from Moscow.
