Mysterious Disappearance of Hiker Family Leaves No Trace After Massive Search
The Usolevtsev family set out on a hike on a warm September 28, but the weather suddenly took a turn for the worse. Despite large-scale search efforts, no trace of the missing group has been found.
Serafima Choodu, a representative of the Liza Alert search-and-rescue team, told TASS that there were no signs the tourists had ever been at the helipad.
The landing site is located near the recreation base where the man, woman, and young girl—who had embarked on what was meant to be a light hike to scenic cliffs—were last seen.
"Both the helipad and the surrounding area were thoroughly searched by emergency services and volunteers. No traces of the family were found," Choodu said.
The active search operation—the largest in the region's history—was called off after heavy snow blanketed the area. However, targeted search efforts continue.
