Various iconic albums, such as those from Elvis Presley, Lou Reed, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Patti Smith, Status Quo, and Steve Hillage, will have releases celebrating their 50th anniversary. Among these, the 50th Anniversary Edition of Queen's 'A Night At The Opera' will be released on crystal clear vinyl and gold labels worldwide, coinciding with NAD.
Wolf Alice, who were recently shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, have been named an Album Champion for National Album Day 2025. They join a prestigious lineup that includes Liam Gallagher, Manic Street Preachers, Iggy Pop, Queen, Architects, Nova Twins, Amy Macdonald, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Teenage Fanclub, Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers (again), Elvis Presley, Lou Reed, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Patti Smith, Status Quo, Steve Hillage, Liam Gallagher (again), Iggy Pop (again), Architects (again), Kasabian, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Iron Maiden.
Amy Love and Georgia South of Nova Twins, who were named National Album Day champions last year, have returned to the role for 2025. They emphasized that albums are a form of escapism, loss of self in another world, and a source of comfort, love, joy, or healing.
Besides the iconic reissues, numerous new releases will be available for purchase during National Album Day 2025. Liam Gallagher's 'As You Were', Iggy Pop's albums, Architects' albums, Kasabian's albums, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' albums are among the new releases for the day.
