Musicians held a procession for the occasion: Marc I. Hillen, infamous as a shooter, served as the patron; the Obertor was commemorated for the NBSV birthday celebration.

Musicians held a march for the anniversary celebration of Obertor, led by shooter king Marc I. Hillen, in honor of NBSV's birthday.

King Marksman Marc I Hillen, the reigning monarch of Neuss, responded to criticism of a "two-class society" at the festivities held under his patronage by expressing his disappointment with such a perception. The event, held around the Obertor on Tuesday evening, was intended to be inclusive and celebratory for all attendees, regardless of social standing.

King Hillen denied the existence of a closed VIP area, stating that all spectators could move freely. He emphasized that the festivities were carefully organized to honor tradition while fostering unity among the people. The invited guests, chosen by King Hillen himself, came from various corps and represented a diverse cross-section of Neuss's community.

The three-week-long festivities featured numerous music corps, with a jubilee day filled with music, dance, and celebration. Among the invited guests were Stephan Meier and Jochem Kirschbaum, while Ben Dahlmann was unable to attend. Thomas Kempen moderated the event and had the opportunity to interview King Hillen.

King Hillen encouraged dialogue to address any divisions rather than allowing misunderstandings to create social rifts. He advised against negative comments about events organized in good faith and expressed gratitude to the citizens of Neuss for their support during his reign.

King Marc I Hillen's response serves as a reminder that events like these are meant to bring people together, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie. Despite the occasional criticism, it is essential to maintain an open dialogue and work towards a more inclusive and celebratory atmosphere for all.
