Russell Crowe Announces Tour for Memoir 'The Uncool'
Famed actor Russell Crowe is embarking on a tour to promote his new memoir, 'The Uncool.' The tour, which will last from Oct. 29 to Nov. 23, will consist of seven cities for appearances.
The journey kicks off on Oct. 29 at Washington, D.C.'s Warner Theatre, with Jake Tapper as the guest. The book, 'The Uncool,' will also be released on this day. The first presale for the tour, designated as 'a Russell Crowe presale,' starts on Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. local time.
The general on-sale for the tour will begin on the same day at 10 a.m. local time, via LiveNation.com. Crowe stated that he is excited to share intimate stories and evenings with audiences who've followed his work over the years.
'The Uncool' is the first of two books that will look back on Crowe's beginnings as a music journalist. Over the last decade, Crowe spent time re-interviewing his early subjects like David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, and Led Zeppelin.
The tour will also include stops in Chicago's Athenaeum Center, Seattle's Benaroya Hall, Hollywood's Montalban, and San Francisco's Orpheum. In the greater San Diego area on Nov. 13, Kate Hudson, one of the stars of his film 'Almost Famous,' will appear with Crowe at the Magnolia.
On Oct. 30 in Nashville at the CMA Theatre, Sheryl Crow will be the guest. On November 2 in Chicago, Crowe will have special guests Sheryl Crow and Kate Hudson as part of 'The Uncool' book tour. On Nov. 11 in Seattle, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder will join Crowe for a conversation.
Live Nation is promoting the tour for Crowe's memoir. Additional presales will follow the initial presale. With a variety of guests and locations, this tour promises to be an unforgettable event for fans of Russell Crowe's work.
