Music star Justin Bieber comes incredibly close to obtaining a new No. 1 album spot, but someone manages to steal the top position.

Fred Again..'s "Victory Lap" Blocks Justin Bieber's Return to No. 1 on U.K.'s Official Hip Hop & R&B Singles Chart

In a surprising turn of events, a new track called "Victory Lap" has prevented pop sensation Justin Bieber from reclaiming the top spot on the Official Hip Hop & R&B Singles Chart in the U.K. The song, fronted by Grammy-winning producer Fred Again.. and featuring Skepta and PlaqueBoyMaxx, debuted at No. 1 in early July.

Before this, Bieber's single "Yukon," from his original Swag album, had been steadily climbing the charts. It peaked at No. 12 on the main ranking of the most-consumed songs in the U.K. and at No. 21 on the roster of the most-played tracks on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. "Yukon" also reached the runner-up spot on the Official Hip Hop & R&B Singles chart, joining other Bieber songs such as "Baby" with Ludacris and "No Brainer" alongside DJ Khaled, Quavo, and Chance the Rapper.

However, "Yukon" has been unable to dethrone "Victory Lap," which has been holding strong on the chart for 12 weeks. The track has only stepped aside from the No. 1 spot twice, quickly reclaiming it each time.

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber has only conquered the Official Hip Hop & R&B Singles Chart once, with "That Power" in April 2013. The song spent 19 frames on the chart, two of which were at No. 1.

As of now, "Yukon" is second on the chart, but it is blocked from reaching No. 1 by "Victory Lap." The new track has moved up three spots to No. 51 on the Official Streaming list, while "Yukon" currently ranks at No. 17 on the Official Singles ranking.

It's worth noting that Justin Bieber recently released a new album called Swag II, which is a reissue of his previous album Swag with additional tracks. However, it seems that the new release has not been enough to knock "Victory Lap" off its throne.

As the battle for the top spot continues, fans of both artists will eagerly watch the charts to see if "Yukon" can finally claim victory or if "Victory Lap" will continue its reign.

Swag II is beginning to chart in various countries, indicating that Justin Bieber's album may still have a strong impact on the music scene. Regardless, the current standoff between "Yukon" and "Victory Lap" is sure to keep music enthusiasts on the edge of their seats.
