Music School Event Set for 25th of September
The Lünen City Music School is set to host a Vocal Evening on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 8 PM in the Aula of the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Gymnasium. This event promises an evening of diverse music, with performances by students from Monika Bergmann's singing class and the youth choir "Choirful".
The program for the Vocal Evening includes works from various genres, such as operas, sacred music, blues, jazz, and musicals. One of the songs to be performed is "Hold Back the River" by James Bay and Iain Archer, a contemporary pop ballad. Another song to be performed is "Georgia on My Mind," popularized by Ray Charles, a jazz standard known from advertisements and films.
Michael Kuhlmann and Ullrich Gronemeyer will provide musical accompaniment for the performances. Kuhlmann will accompany the performances on piano, while Gronemeyer will be on the drums. The youth choir "Choirful" will also perform at the Vocal Evening.
