Music publisher Concord has agreed to a global contract with Fraser T Smith, a renowned music producer.
Fraser T Smith, a renowned producer and songwriter, has joined Concord Music Publishing in a new worldwide publishing agreement. The deal encompasses Smith's future works and select existing compositions from his impressive catalogue.
Kim Frankiewicz, EVP of worldwide A&R at Concord Music Publishing, expressed her excitement about the partnership, praising Smith as a "true master of his craft" and a "trailblazer in music".
Smith, who has collaborated with a diverse range of top artists, has worked with Adele, Stormzy, Dave, Sam Smith, Kano, Celine Dion, James Morrison, and Snow Patrol, among others. His collaborations have spanned over two decades and have resulted in landmark albums and hit singles across various genres.
One of Smith's most recognized works includes co-writing and producing Adele's 21 album, for which he won a Grammy in 2011, including the hit "Set Fire to the Rain". He also contributed to Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour, Stormzy's Gang Signs & Prayer, Kano's Made in the Manor, and Jesse & Joy's Un Besito Más, earning various award nominations and wins.
As a solo artist under the moniker Future Utopia, Smith released the 2020 album 12 Questions, featuring collaborations with Stormzy, Dave, Kano, Ghetts, Bastille, and others. He has co-written, mixed, and produced seven No. 1 singles in the UK and two Billboard No. 1 hits in the US, plus 18 No. 1 albums overall.
Smith's extensive collaborations cover many genres and have resulted in hit songs such as Taio Cruz's "Break Your Heart," James Morrison's "Broken Strings," Dave's "Funky Friday," and Stormzy's "Blinded By Your Grace, Pt. 2".
Tom Coulson-Smith, a member of Concord Music Publishing, welcomed Smith to the team. Smith is currently back in the studio with Dave, continuing their long-standing creative partnership. Recently, Smith also co-wrote and produced multiple tracks on Kae Tempest's new album Self Titled.
