Music legends Coldplay and Imagine Dragons come together for pioneering multisensory concert at Constanta Casino
Experience an unforgettable fusion of classical music and dramatic staging as a multisensory concert takes centre stage in Constanța this Saturday. The event, set to begin at 9:30 p.m., will be held on the seafront in front of the recently restored Constanta Casino, one of Eastern Europe's most important Art Nouveau landmarks.
Four talented musicians - Olga Berar (first violin), Ana Tănase (second violin), Tamara Dica (viola), and Diana Petre (cello) - will perform a captivating repertoire that includes classical reinterpretations of music by Coldplay and Imagine Dragons. Access to the seats, totaling 400, will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with doors opening at 8:30 p.m.
This multisensory concert is part of a broader project launched in November 2023, which has brought over 160 sold-out classical music performances to more than 87,000 attendees in 16 cities across Romania and beyond. The project aims to make classical music more accessible, particularly to young people, and has expanded to smaller cities with limited cultural access.
Constanța, known for its vibrant seaside life, is also reinventing itself culturally. The city is actively promoting immersive and multisensory experiences beyond beach tourism, with open-air cinema, urban gardens, festivals, and multisensory shows becoming increasingly common.
The concert will be performed under the glow of thousands of candles, creating a unique and magical atmosphere. Admission to the concert is free, reinforcing the project's commitment to making culture accessible to all.
